CREATING AMITY WITHIN THE MIND AND BODY TO HELP YOU UNLOCK YOUR FULL FITNESS POTENTIAL. TAKE YOUR WORKOUTS TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND LIVE A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE.
1. Personal assessment:
A fitness assessment is a comprehensive assessment that involves a series of measurements that help determine your current health and fitness level. Amity fitness genuinely wants to get to know you. By completing our Fitness Client Worksheet (FCW), it will give us the information necessary to create the right program for you.
- Fitness Client Worksheet
- Discuss limitations
- SMART goals setting
- Finding/discovering the right training package
2. Personalized program:
Once we have completed your assessment, we will set your health and fitness goals. Using a systematic and progressive approach, taking time, limitations, and availability to fitness equipment into consideration, we will create a personalized routine that works.
- Tailored workout program
- Weekly and monthly routines
- Nutritional outline
- Scheduled reassessments
3. Phases of training:
One way Amity Fitness helps you avoid pitfalls in your workout is by using a systematic progressive training program. By using periodization, we will cycle through 5 different phases to create eustress (good stress) on the body. Cycling through these 5 different phases will vary the amount and type of stress placed on the body to produce adaptation and prevent injury.
- Stabilization Endurance
- Strength Endurance
- Hypertrophy
- Maximal Strength
- Power
4. Modalities:
- Weight loss and muscle definition– Americans spend close to $60+ billion dollars dieting and 80% of those dieters are trying to lose weight on their own. Nearly all dieters (90-95%) regain the weight they lost within 1 to 5 years. With Amity Fitness’s systematic approach to weight loss, partnered with nutritional coaching, we will make sure you lose weight the right way and keep it off.
- Bodybuilding/physique– The iron game known as bodybuilding began as early as the 1890s with Eugene Sandow, officially known as the first famous body builder, whom the Mr. Olympia statue is modelled on. Since then, many other big names such as Larry Scott, Frank Zane, and Arnold Schwarzenegger have helped lay down the foundation for Bodybuilding. If your goal is physique/bodybuilding, Amity Fitness will help you work on hypertrophy (building muscle), symmetry, and contest preparation. If you just want to feel confident about your body, we will find the correct training plan to reach your “perfect” body image.
- Weight Gain for the Hard Gainer – There are 3 general body types for men and women: Ectomorph, Endomorph, and Mesomorph. If you are a Mesomorph, congratulations, you just won the genepool jackpot! Mesomorphs build muscle easily and lose fat quick. Endomorphs gain muscle and fat quickly, but have trouble losing fat. Ectomorphs are your classic “Hard-gainer,” smaller in frame, have a fast metabolism, and find it hard to gain weight. If you find yourself just like the classic “Hard-gainer,” don’t feel alone. Amity Fitness will set you with the best training plan to maximize muscle growth and strength.
- SAQ/Sport- As an athlete of any kind, your goal is to break performance boundaries to become the best possible athlete you can be. No matter what type of sport you do, Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) training will help you increase your abilities in all areas. We partner SAQ training with power training not just to improve the lives of athletes, but to improve the physical health profile of sedentary individuals and those with medical or health limitations.
- Core training- There is one part of the body that we use constantly throughout the day…and that is our core! Every movement we make stems from our core. Attached, is the spine and muscles that help keep the core engaged. Whether you are trying to keep good posture at work while typing away or you are a power lifter working on bracing and Valsalva maneuvers, Amity Fitness will help you on engaging your core in all activities.
- Functional training- Functional training is a classification of exercise which involves training the body for activities performed in daily life. If your job is in construction and you want to improve the way you lift objects at work or you have a desk job where you sit all day and are experiencing tight hip flexors, the functional training that Amity Fitness provides will help you safely, effectively, and efficiently to have injury free movements.
